The ultimate invitation to holiday wonder: the 30% off savings that make this seasonal guide so magical.

It is Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025, and I have found myself in the heart of a winter wonderland that feels miles away from the sunny California coast. Roger’s Gardens in Corona del Mar has always been a beacon of holiday spirit, but visiting today—with the crisp air and the anticipation of Christmas morning—is truly something special. As I walked through the gates, I wasn’t just looking for decorations; I was looking for that spark of magic, and I found it, alongside some of the most incredible holiday sales I’ve ever seen.

A Grand Welcome to the Garden

The moment I stepped toward the entrance, my breath caught. Hanging from the ceiling were massive, glossy red ornaments that mirrored the excitement in the air, while a tall, regal nutcracker in bright blue stood guard, welcoming everyone into this festive sanctuary.

Walking past the heavy red velvet curtains, I felt like I was entering a secret world. The way the light caught the tree peeking through the drapery made the transition from the outside world feel like a real-life fairy tale.

This year is particularly special as the gardens celebrate their 50th anniversary. I was struck by the sheer scale of the “50” topiary, which sat beautifully amidst a sea of pink cyclamens, while a charming model train whistled its way around the base.

I took a moment to wander through the outdoor pottery section. The muted gray sky made the elegant ceramic pots and lush green topiaries stand out with a sophisticated, quiet beauty that felt so peaceful. Even in winter, delicate camellias and hellebores were in bloom, adding subtle touches of life and color—gentle reminders that the garden never truly sleeps.

Nearby, I found a display that looked like a masterclass in holiday landscaping. A perfectly potted tree adorned with deep red ribbons stood among dark green glazed pots, proving that Christmas magic belongs in the garden just as much as in the living room.

I could have watched the garden railway for hours. Seeing the tiny engine pull its cars through a landscape of miniature bridges and vibrant flowers made me feel like a little girl again.
