Entering the Winter Wonderland 2025. The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is stunning!

I thought I had seen it all in Las Vegas, but this winter has made me feel like a kid again. If you’re planning a trip to Sin City anytime soon, forget about the casinos for a minute. The real magic is happening at the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens.

This year, the team at the Bellagio has outdone themselves with their new exhibit, “All Aboard for Holiday Bells and Whistles.” I’ve put together a detailed look at this beauty, and to top it off, I’ve put together a list of life hacks and promo codes to save hundreds of dollars on your trip.

Bellagio hotel at night
Bellagio at night is the hallmark of Las Vegas. The best time to visit is when the fountains are lit up and it gets cool outside.

The first thing that strikes you is the contrast. From the outside, the eternal fountains of the Bellagio dance to Christmas classics, and the hotel itself shines like a beacon of luxury. But once inside, you’re transported back to the Victorian era.

All Aboard! Winter Tale “All Aboard for Holiday Bells and Whistles”

The highlight of the season is a new exhibit at Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens called “All Aboard for Holiday Bells and Whistles.” And believe me, the name doesn’t lie!

Giant Nutcracker soldiers in the Bellagio Winter Garden and Botanical Gardens
The guardians of this tale are the giant Nutcrackers.

It’s not just decorations—it’s a full-scale Victorian train station, made of real flowers and plants. The centerpiece is an incredible steam locomotive that looks so realistic that it feels like it’s about to blow its whistle and we’re off to the North Pole. It’s said to produce real steam, which certainly adds to the atmosphere. So get ready to be transported to dreamland.

Bellagio holiday train
The central element of the exhibition is a steam train, shrouded in “smoke”, which creates the complete illusion of movement through a snow-covered forest.

Elves bustle around the train, and the giant carriages are decorated in such a way that you want to examine every detail. The attention to detail is impressive: acrobatic elves and carriages filled with gifts create the storyline of the exhibition.

Just think about these numbers: the exposition is illuminated by 110,000 LED lights, and the main Christmas tree (originally from Mount Shasta) is decorated with 8,700 ornaments. More than 20,000 poinsettias (“Christmas stars”) are planted around.

A majestic 42-foot-tall Christmas tree adorned with thousands of lights towers over the holiday train.

I particularly noticed the giant Nutcracker soldiers. If you get closer, you can see that their red uniforms are not fabric! They are hand-laid with 7,500 live carnations, and their headdresses are adorned with 1,000 red feathers.

Giant Nutcrackers and mountains of gifts among thousands of live poinsettias — the scale of the installation is breathtaking.

The detail is just insane. On one of the cars, I noticed an elf hanging funny from the roof, probably trying to fix the presents on the go.

A Taste of the Holiday: Where to Eat with a View of a Fairytale

Right inside the garden is an exclusive location — The Garden Table. It’s a table stylized as a fairy tale house, where you sit literally inside the exposition.

  • Brunch from Sadelle’s: $145 per guest (daily until 2:00 p.m.).
  • Dinner from Michael Mina: $195 per guest (Tuesday-Sunday).

But if you, like me, want something simpler, look for the Peppermint Express cart. They pour their signature hot chocolate and sell fresh popcorn. It’s the perfect way to warm up while walking through the garden.

As you stroll through the Christmas trees, don’t forget to look up in the lobby. There is Dale Chihuly’s famous installation “Fiori di Como”. These are 2,000 handmade glass flowers that together weigh almost 18 tons! This is art that is available to everyone absolutely free of charge.

About Shopping at Bellagio: Taking the Bellagio Scent Home

Of course, I couldn’t pass up The Giardini Store. Here you can find unique Christmas tree decorations that you won’t find in a regular mall.

The Giardini Store window is a separate art form, where Santas and Christmas decorations invite you into the world of gifts.

  • My pick: Sugar Plum Fairy Conservatory Candle. This is the scent that reigns supreme in the conservatory right now. It will transform your home into an enchanted winter wonderland with warm notes of coconut cream, vanilla, and sweet musk. And while this is the real magic of the 2024 season, I couldn’t resist, I really love the smell of vanilla..
  • Lifehack: Right now, bellagioathome.com is offering a 25% discount on everything. You can order online and not have to lug anything heavy around in your suitcase!

Where to Celebrate New Year 2025?

If you’re planning to ring in 2025 in Vegas, I have some exciting news for you. A new restaurant has opened in the place of the legendary Picasso restaurant — Carbone Riviera. It’s Italian cuisine at the highest level. On New Year’s Eve (December 31), they offer:

  • New Year’s Eve prices: Gala Seating in the hall costs $295 (fixe menu). And if you want a table on the terrace with a view of the fireworks, be prepared for a deposit of $395-$495 per person. It’s expensive, but it’s an experience of a lifetime.

This is the trendiest place in town right now, so you need to book immediately.

Expedia offers

  • There is an interesting arithmetic at work here: if you book a tour of the Bellagio fountains or a casino tour together with a flight, the service promises savings of up to 50% on entertainment or even 100% on your airfare (in fact, the flight comes as a free bonus to the package).
  • If staying in the Bellagio itself is “biting”, on Expedia you can find hotels nearby from just $82 per night.

Booking.com offers

  • Here is a classic: you can catch a discount of up to 15% on accommodation.
  • But it is more profitable to take a Vacation Package (turnkey vacation) – then the savings reach 30%.
