Main Star: The Naja at Oak Creek Marketplace

Address: Oak Creek Marketplace, 235 N State Rte 89A, Sedona, AZ 86336

The first thing you’ll notice is the charming Oak Creek Marketplace sign. Don’t let the unassuming entrance fool you; inside The Naja is a veritable maze of treasures that you could spend an hour or two browsing. It’s not just a store, it’s a marketplace.

Look for this sign! It is in the Oak Creek Marketplace in Uptown Sedona that our main find is located – the amazing store The Naja.

I’ve divided the finds here into a few categories.

Taste of Arizona: Edible Souvenirs

If you want to bring home a taste of the desert, this is the place to go.

Sweet and Spicy: Start with the classics – Cactus Candy and Prickly Pear Marmalade. Prickly pear fruit is a superfood, and Arizonans have learned how to make incredible sweets out of it.

For spicy food lovers: This is my favorite rack. The Prickly Pear Ghost Pepper Jelly is a wonderful balance of sweet and hellish. And the Habanero from Hell stuffed olives are for the more adventurous.

Art: Soul of the Southwest

This is where The Naja really shines.

Kachinas: You’ll see these amazing figurines. It’s important to know that they’re not just “dolls.” These are Kachinas, figurines that represent spirit mediums in the religious beliefs of the Pueblo peoples, including the Hopi and Zuni. They’re deeply spiritual and collectible.

Acoma Pottery: I was thrilled to find some real art here. For example, the Acoma Pottery Figurine by Shirley and Nicole Chino. Known as the “City in the Sky,” Acoma Pueblo is famous for its incredibly thin-walled pottery with intricate black-and-white geometric patterns.
