Spring is in the air, and there’s no better time to indulge in the beauty of nature and explore all that the season has to offer. During a recent trip to Newport Beach, I stumbled upon a hidden gem that left me in awe: Roger’s Gardens.
Nestled in the heart of the city, this botanical wonderland is a haven for plant enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
From lush greenery to vibrant blooms, Roger’s Gardens has something for everyone, making it the perfect destination to kickstart your spring gardening adventures.
As I stepped into Roger’s Gardens, I was greeted by an enchanting display of plants, each more captivating than the last.
The nursery boasts an impressive array of garden areas, from shade gardens to succulent gardens, vegetable gardens to interior plants.
The meticulous layout and thoughtful design make it a feast for the eyes, with every corner offering new discoveries.
One of the highlights of my visit was the bulb display, showcasing a dazzling array of tulips, narcissus, and other spring blooms. It was like flipping through a botanical catalog come to life, and I couldn’t help but marvel at the beauty of nature’s bounty.
The seasonal displays for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas added an extra touch of magic to the experience, with each corner adorned with festive cheer.
And if ever I needed assistance, the friendly staff at the customer service kiosks were always on hand to offer guidance and advice.
But perhaps the most impressive feature of Roger’s Gardens is its commitment to education and community engagement.
The Landscape Design Studio offers visitors the opportunity to design their own gardens with the help of expert staff, while the amphitheater-style education area hosts a variety of classes and workshops, from flower arranging to succulent gardening.
Peppermania at Roger’s Gardens:

From April 26th to May 5th, the nursery will be hosting the “world’s largest and most fun pepper sale,” featuring over 150 varieties of peppers for both in-ground and container gardens. With expert advice from Roger’s Gardens’ edible expert, David Rizzo, it’s sure to be an event to remember.
