This summer, Disneyland Resort is rolling out the red carpet for its youngest guests with the return of a beloved family event – Disney Jr. Let’s Play! From August 8-10, 2025, little adventurers and their families can enjoy an immersive three-day experience filled with music, crafts, games, and magical encounters with their favorite Disney Jr. characters.
What’s Happening

The excitement kicks off on August 8 with the start of Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Block Party, a multi-day celebration specially designed for preschool-aged children and their families. Inspired by hit Disney Jr. series, the event includes lively performances, hands-on activities, and themed photo spots throughout the Disneyland Resort. It’s a rare opportunity to meet characters like Mickey, Minnie, and friends from shows like “Bluey” and “SuperKitties” in one enchanting setting.
With crafting stations, sing-alongs, and interactive entertainment, families can dive into the imaginative world of Disney Jr. while creating unforgettable memories.
Spotlight on Disney California Adventure Park
The heart of the action beats strongest at Disney California Adventure Park on August 8, where the day’s events promise nonstop fun. The highlight is the exuberant “Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Block Party,” parading through the park with Mickey, Minnie, and other Disney Jr. stars. At the Hollywood Backlot stage, the “Let’s Play! Live” performance brings the magic to life with music and dance.
Special experiences like “Confection Purrfection with the SuperKitties” allow kids to decorate cupcakes. Budding artists can join drawing classes at the Animation Academy, and interactive zones in Hollywood Land display vibrant backdrops from favorite Disney Jr. shows.
Guests will also get a first look at the new live show, “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” as part of the park’s continued commitment to family-friendly programming.
Magical Moments in Downtown Disney District

The celebration continues over the weekend, August 9 and 10, in the Downtown Disney District, offering more interactive experiences outside the main park. Here, families can enjoy the open-air atmosphere with exclusive photo spots, themed merchandise at World of Disney, and the Let’s Play! Bubbles Experience on the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage and lawn.
Best of all, Downtown Disney offers complimentary admission, giving guests a taste of the magic without needing a park ticket.
What Else is Coming Up at the Disneyland Resort?
If August sounds exciting already, there’s more magic around the corner. The ever-popular Oogie Boogie Bash is set to return for the Halloween season, beginning August 17 and expanding to 31 nights, beating previous year by 4 nights. This spine-tingling event features the Frightfully Fun Parade, immersive treat trails, Villains Grove, and a host of Disney villains, including new surprises for 2025.
With the official start of Halloween Time launching August 22, guests can look forward to weeks of costumed fun. Tickets go on sale starting June 24 for Inspire Magic Key holders, followed by general Magic Key holders on June 25 and open public sales on June 26. Early planning is key to snagging a spot!
