Halloween has arrived early at Roger’s Gardens. The store’s new Moonlight Masquerade Halloween Boutique opened on August 28, 2026, bringing a Venetian-inspired world of masks, candlelight, curiosities, pumpkins, collectibles, and seasonal gifts to Corona del Mar.
This is not simply a few shelves of Halloween merchandise. The boutique is designed as an immersive experience inspired by Venice after dark. Roger’s Gardens describes a journey beneath the Bridge of Sighs and into the Palazzo of Whispers, with theatrical rooms filled with gilded masks, dramatic Original Designs, and seasonal collections. The boutique is currently open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
I visited shortly after opening, when the selection was broad and the shopping areas were active but still comfortable to explore. If you want the best chance of finding matching pieces, unusual gifts, or one of the more distinctive statement decorations, this is the time to go.

The entrance immediately establishes that this year’s theme is more theatrical than a standard seasonal shop. A giant spider, jewel-like webbing, oversized greenery, dramatic lighting, and unusual floral arrangements create a transition from the sunny garden center into a darker fantasy world.
Farther inside, the Venetian influence becomes clearer. Chandeliers, draped fabric, masks, mirrors, antique-style furniture, and warm amber details make the rooms feel like scenes from a mysterious palazzo. One of the most memorable installations is a skeleton seated at a piano beneath sparkling chandeliers and strands of orange crystals. Even if you come primarily to shop, the displays provide useful ideas for combining products at home.
Venetian Masks and Masquerade Accessories
The masks are the most direct connection to the Moonlight Masquerade theme. The selection includes jeweled half masks, dramatic full-face designs, metallic finishes, spiderweb shapes, feathers, and rich colors such as purple, red, gold, silver, and black.
These are not limited to costumes. A mask can be displayed on a shelf, placed over a stack of dark books, added to a gallery wall, or used as the centerpiece of a Halloween dinner table. The boxed floating skull candles shown during my visit come in sets of six and are designed to hang from trees. Their eyes and flames light up and flicker, and the packaging says a remote is included.
Nearby, a 12-inch lighted smoking spooky tree was marked $129 each at the time of my visit. Its blue internal light and mist effect make it more of a focal-point decoration than a small shelf accent.
Another striking option is the group of tall bottles held by skeletal hands. Their spiders, glitter, liquid effect, and internal light make them suitable for a potion-room or haunted-bar setup.
Halloween Décor for Shelves, Tables, and Entertaining
Not everything at Moonlight Masquerade is overtly scary. Some of the most versatile pieces use Halloween materials and colors in a more polished way: clear glass skulls, crystal candleholders, gold accents, metallic skull cups, agate coasters, decorative bookends, frames, magnifying glasses, and dark floral arrangements.
This section is useful if you want your home to feel seasonal without replacing all of your usual décor. A black vase with orange flowers, a pair of metallic candleholders, or a few glass skull accents can be mixed with items you already own.
The boutique also offers complete styling inspiration. Displays combine black candles, orange floral stems, pumpkins, witches, butterflies, books, and vintage-style accessories at different heights. Instead of copying an entire arrangement, look for one anchor item and two or three smaller accents that repeat its colors.
For party tables, there are orange and black bowls, jack-o’-lantern mugs, small plates, themed serving pieces, glassware, candles, and decorative containers.

At the time of my visit, seasonal craft lollipops were marked $5.99 each, while the Halloween Swedish dishcloths were marked $6.90. These are among the easiest purchases for teachers, neighbors, hosts, coworkers, or anyone who enjoys a small seasonal surprise. The displayed prices should be verified in store because they may change.
Outdoor Fall Décor, Real Pumpkins, and Original Designs
The Halloween experience continues outside the boutique. Roger’s Gardens already has pumpkins, gourds, fall flowers, dark foliage plants, and seasonal garden displays available around the nursery.
The pumpkin area includes classic carving pumpkins as well as a guide to designer varieties in different colors, textures, and shapes. That makes it possible to build a layered porch display rather than relying only on standard orange pumpkins.
The Original Designs area offers planted arrangements that combine succulents with skeleton hands, skulls, stone-look containers, and orange accents. These pieces bridge garden décor and Halloween, making them useful for patios, entryways, and sunny outdoor areas.

Yes—especially if your main goal is shopping rather than simply seeing the Halloween displays.
Moonlight Masquerade succeeds because it offers several versions of Halloween in one place. You can shop Venetian masks and gold accents, bright vintage pumpkins, gothic books and skulls, child-friendly ghosts, elegant tabletop décor, novelty lighting, sweet gifts, and real pumpkins for the porch.
The boutique will remain an enjoyable seasonal destination closer to October, but the practical advantage of visiting now is choice. Opening-week shelves still show complete groups of products and multiple design options, while the current flow of visitors makes it easier to look closely and plan a coordinated display.
