Location: Close to the Center Without Being in the Middle of the Crowds

InterContinental Ljubljana is located at Slovenska cesta 59, just north of the historic center. Ljubljana’s Old Town is about 0.5 km away (0.3 miles), while Tivoli Park is also approximately 0.5 km from the hotel. Ljubljana Jože Pu?nik Airport is roughly 26 km away (16 miles).

That makes the hotel particularly convenient if you want to explore central Ljubljana on foot while still staying in a modern high-rise property.

The Rooms: Spacious by City-Hotel Standards

Room size is one of InterContinental Ljubljana’s strongest advantages. Classic Rooms measure approximately 39–42 m² (420–450 ft²), while Premium Rooms range from 42–54 m² (450–580 ft²). Junior Suites are around 50–52 m² (530–560 ft²), and One Bedroom Suites increase that to roughly 60–63 m² (640–680 ft²).

Rooms feature contemporary interiors, work areas, free Wi-Fi and marble bathrooms with either a soaking tub or walk-in shower. Bathrobes, slippers, coffee and tea making facilities, bottled water, and a turndown service are among the in-room amenities available.

How Much Does a Room Cost?

InterContinental Ljubljana is firmly in the five-star price category, but rates vary considerably by date, room type, and cancellation policy. As a useful current example, Expedia showed a rate from $303/€262 for one night for two adults, including taxes and fees, when checked on August 2026. Another 2026 listing showed rates starting around €246 per room, although exact prices depend on the stay dates.

But the feature that makes an upper-floor room especially worthwhile is the view.

From higher floors, Ljubljana spreads out below, with a surprisingly green landscape surrounding the city. If the price difference is reasonable, choosing a room with a better view is one upgrade that makes sense at this particular hotel.

Club InterContinental: Worth Considering for a Longer Stay

Guests booking eligible Club-level accommodation can access the Club InterContinental Lounge on the 19th floor.

Next to the restaurant is B-Bar, also on the 20th floor. Its outdoor terrace makes it another option for enjoying the skyline without committing to a full dinner.

• Signature cocktails: around €15 each. The signature cocktail menu is inspired by Slovenian honey (honeybee theme), where each drink contains a unique type of honey (linden, chestnut, forest, acacia, etc.).

On the ground floor, Bloom Lounge offers a quieter setting for coffee, pastries and light refreshments. IHG currently lists its hours as 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The 18th-floor Serenity Spa includes a heated indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam facilities. The pool overlooks Tivoli Park and is currently listed as open from 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM.

There is also an 18th-floor gym with panoramic city views.
