My Thrive Market Beauty Essentials Order: Whole Foods Price Comparison

Health and BeautyThrive Market order
My Thrive Market beauty products ordered online and delivered right to my dorstep.

When you shop for food and body care essentials every dollar counts. You purchase these products on a regular basis and even little markdowns will result in hundreds of dollars in savings if amassed for a year, for example. The quality of hair and body care products at Whole Foods Market has always been high and they always focus on selling safe beauty products that are good for people and the environment. In the effort to save on my favorite Whole Food Market products as well as save gas and time I ordered them at Thrive Market. Now, when I got my Thrive Market order delivered, I would like to compare the prices on the same products at Whole Foods Market near me to figure out whether shopping at Thrive Market is cheaper.

Thrive Market package
All beauty essentials come with discounted prices, cheaper than those I typically buy at Whole Foods Market.

So, I have got 5 items in this shipment: 3-in-1 Soap, Shampoo, Body Wash, & Bubble Bath, Lavender & Aloe (32 fl oz bottle), Vivacious Volume Shampoo, Mint & Echinacea (8 fl oz tube), Deodorant Spray, Lavender 7 Sage (3.2 oz bottle), Skin Food Original Ultra Rich Creams (2.5 fl oz tube) and Organic Cotton rounds (80 count). I paid $53.77 total, including $3.90 tax.

In fact, most Thrive Market products come with reduced prices and the online store also offers Thrive Market Coupons to save even more. All Thrive Market customers get free shipping on orders of over $49.

The same day I got my Thrive Market order I went to the local Whole Foods Market and took the photo of the same items offered for sale there. Here is what I got.

Bubble Bath Lavender price
The price of 3in1 Soap at Thrive Market is even cheaper than when it is on sale at Whole Foods.

The regular price of 3-in-1 Soap, Shampoo, Body Wash, & Bubble Bath Lavender & Aloe (32 fl oz bottle) at Whole Foods Market is $17.79, but this item was in sale for $14.19 or $12.77 as member price.

Bubble Bath Lavender
The bottle is large and lasts for a whole month for the family of four.

Bubble Bath Lavender Ingredients
3in1 Soap ingredients include Aloe Vera Leaf Juice and organic Chamomilla and Calendula extracts.

The same item at Thrive Market costs $10.49.

Vivacious Volume Shampoo price
Vivacious Volume Shampoo by Acure at Whole Foods Market, Irvine, CA.

Vivacious Volume Shampoo
Vivacious Volume Shampoo smells mint and adds volume to thin hair.

Vivacious Volume Shampoo, Mint & Echinacea (8 fl oz tube) costs $9.99 at Whole Foods versus $7.99 at Thrive Market.

Deodorant Spray price
Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant Spray at Whole Foods Market, Irvine, CA.

Deodorant Spray
Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant Spray costs less at Thrive Market.

The price of Deodorant Spray, Lavender 7 Sage (3.2 oz bottle) at Whole Foods is $13.49 as opposed to $10.99 at Thrive Market.

Skin Food Original Ultra Rich Cream price
Weleda Skin Food Original Ultra-Rich Cream at Whole Foods Market, Irvine.

Original Ultra Rich Creams
I trust Weleda skincare, and Thrive Market offers it at the lowest price possible.

Weleda Ultra Rich Creams
I saved $2 on the purchase of Skin Food Ultra-Rich Cream at Thrive Market.

Skin Food Original Ultra Rich Cream (2.5 fl oz tube) costs $19.99 while I paid only $17.99 for it at Thrive Market.

Organic Cotton rounds
Thrive Market Organic Cotton Rounds are my must have for removing makeup.

You will hardly find the last item at Whole Foods and, to be honest, I don’t understand why they never have cotton round in their Beauty Section. But I couldn’t miss a chance to order Organic Cotton rounds (80 count) for only $2.99.

Now, let’s make calculations and see how much money I saved on this order. It’s obvious that Thrive Market prices are a little bit cheaper than those charged by Whole Foods. But how much exactly? It turns out that I saved $1,78 +$2+$2,5 +$2=$8,28. Wow, and considering the fact that 3-in-1 Soap, Shampoo, Body Wash was on sale at Whole Foods, I could save as much as $10 on a single purchase.

Plus, if we add the time and money saved on gas to the savings we have already pointed out, the Thrive Market benefits are obvious: Thrive Market products cost less than those of Whole Foods Market.

You may retort that I included Whole Foods member prices which are a bit lower, but getting prime membership is not expensive at all. In fact, if you are an Amazon Prime member you will get 10% off sale items automatically at Whole Foods Market, plus get access to other weekly deals. Amazon Prime membership costs just $14.99 if paid monthly or $139 if you pay annually. I always pay annually as it’s a little bit cheaper.

My verdict: shopping at Thrive Market saves money and time. Their prices are even cheaper than Amazon prime member prices, you save your time and money to get to the store and grab the food. My order was just $53.77, and I saved $8 on it. If you add the cost of gas and the time spent to get to the store, stay in line at the checkout and loading the goods into the car, you will see that Thrive Market is the best option, and you can get there exactly the same products you love to buy at Whole Foods so much! The only thing that you might not like is that you will have to wait for a couple of days to get your products delivered. But you can always place your order in advance not to run out of beauty essentials.
