South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA closed all operations on March 16th with hope to reopen by the end of March, the hope shared by all businesses everywhere. But that was not to be as state after state were issuing quarantine orders and all non-essential business closures. California is one of the leaders here, one of the first to close, and probably one of the last to open. Sometimes it’s better to be safe than sorry.

The iconic mall was closed due to an abundance of caution after one of the employees tested COVID-19 positive. What happens in the future we will have to see, but for now all the stores are closed indefinitely. The closures don’t’ mean that all shopping opportunities are gone. On the contrary – online sales are booming with people preparing to emerge glorious, victorious, and good looking once the lockdown orders are lifted. And they will be lifted one of these days, so let’s stay patient and do some retail therapy online.

Let’s take a look at what offers and special deals you can discover online from the comfort of your sofa. While South Coast Plaza mall hosts about 250 stores, boutiques, and eateries, we won’t cover them all, but here are a few we like:

Nordstrom

Nordstrom at South Coast Plaza is closed to shopping, but you can receive curbside pickup and make returns in store every day 11am – 5pm. This is really convenient for online shoppers who can order anything and either pick it up or get it shipped. With Mother’s Day approaching, shopping is heated and so are the deals. While you can look for coupons on coupon aggregation sites, Nordstrom displays plenty of coupons right on the home page.

Macy’s

The store at South Coast Plaza is closed until the stay at home order is lifted by California governor. The store sells luxurious and upscale ready-to-wear, shape-wear, hosiery, lingerie, and accessories. While you won’t be able to try their products in person, you are welcome to order online and get everything shipped right to your door.
